FloraLens collects the following data to provide its services:

• Account Information: When you sign up or sign in using Google or email/password, we collect your email address and, if using Google, your Google account ID to authenticate and manage your account.
• Plant Data: Information about your plants, including identified plants, care logs, and your personal plant collection, is stored locally on your device and synced to our secure cloud servers for backup and cross-device access.
• Community Data: If you choose to share plants in the Community Feed or on your public profile, this data (e.g., plant images and descriptions) is stored on our servers and visible to other users.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymized usage data to improve app functionality, such as interaction with features like the Learning Hub or Community Feed.

Cloud Storage and Synchronization

Your plant data, including your personal plant collection and care logs, is securely synced to our cloud servers to enable access across devices. This data is encrypted both in transit and at rest to ensure your privacy and security. You can opt out of cloud synchronization, but this may limit access to your data on other devices.

Subscriptions

FloraLens requires a subscription to access core features, such as plant identification, health diagnosis, and cloud synchronization. Subscriptions are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and no personal payment information is collected or stored by the app. Please review the respective store's privacy policy for details on their data handling practices.

Permissions

FloraLens may request the following permissions to provide full functionality:

• Camera Access: To capture photos for plant identification and health diagnosis.
• Storage Access: To upload images from your gallery for plant identification or to save plant-related data locally.
• Internet Access: To sync plant data to the cloud and access the Community Feed or Learning Hub.

These permissions are optional, but some features may not function without them.

Third-Party Services

FloraLens uses third-party services for specific functionalities:

• Google Sign-In: For user authentication. Please review Google's privacy policy for details on their data handling.
• Apple App Store and Google Play Store: For subscription processing. No payment information is stored by FloraLens.
• Gemini AI: For plant identification and health diagnosis. Image data is processed securely, and no personally identifiable information is shared with Gemini.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption, to protect your data both on your device and in our cloud servers. Access to your account is secured via Google Sign-In or email/password authentication, and we encourage you to use strong passwords to enhance security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data shared in the Community Feed or public profile is visible to other users as per your settings. You can control the visibility of your shared content through the app's settings.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, all synced plant data and account information will be permanently removed from our servers.
