Little Lore - Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By using Little Lore, published by CognitoWare, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Your Photos and Content

You keep all rights to your photos, videos, voice recordings, letters, and other content. Little Lore only uses them to provide the app's features to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to add the content you use in the app, and for whom you share it with through family sharing.

AI Features & Accuracy

Search by meaning, Firsts, Echoes, face recognition, and written stories are produced by automated AI systems. They help you find and enjoy your memories, but they can make mistakes: a search may miss a moment or include the wrong one, a "first" may not be the true first, face recognition may include or leave out photos, and stories may describe a moment imperfectly. Please review what the app suggests.

Subscriptions, Billing & Free Trials

• Little Lore is free to download. Optional purchases unlock more features: Little Lore Plus (monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription) and Family Legacy (yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase).
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store / Google Play account settings at any time. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Downloads and Storage

Search by meaning requires a one-time download of an on-device AI model (about 485 MB). Your timeline is stored on your device. It is your responsibility to keep your recovery key safe: encrypted backups and family-sharing keys cannot be recovered or opened by us if the key is lost. The developer is not responsible for loss of data, including data stored only on a lost or reset device.

Family Sharing

Anyone you give a family share key to can view the shared story and leave comments. Only share keys with people you trust, and use Pause sharing to stop sharing at any time. You can delete any comment from your timeline. Do not use family sharing to post content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable Use

You may use Little Lore only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app or its services, or attempt to access data that is not yours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Little Lore is provided "as is" without any guarantees or warranties of any kind. The developer makes no representations about the application's accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall the developer be held liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use Little Lore, including loss of data.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of Little Lore after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
